it was a gardening injury-but not a dropped pot. it was an I was barefoot picking strawberries and stepped on a metal gardening rake and got a really bad puncture wound to the bottom of my foot and bruised my ankle.

To anonymous who posted at 3/1/12 at 7:02 pm who told me to "shut the fuck up" on multiple occasions (I'm only guessing you're talking about me because you posted at 7:02 and my show is 6-8). At the top of every hour we're required to list the calendar of events. As a non-profit community radio station, we are required to serve the community and are here for the music. When I see our calendar list is lacking some important events, I add some events I know about going on in the city. If you have a problem with me reading a long calendar, change the station and see a doctor about your anger problems. Maybe you should move somewhere where there aren't so many musicians gigging every night. I understand your frustration when it comes to DJ's rambling about nothing or about their dietary preferences, however I only discuss music and events on my show. If you have a problem with me discussing a specific recording or the musicians involved on it (I get into that because I have a jazz show), you can always call in to voice your displeasure at 504-865-5885 instead of anonymously and cowardly cursing profusely on the internet. Many of us here take a specific pride in focusing on the music here and would be happy to discuss better programming with you. Thanks and have a nice day.

(B) Fewer people want to listen to it at 10:00AM in the morning.
(C) Even fewer people want to listen to it when it is not even interesting dance music. The stuff that's being played is, for the most part, horribly insipid and basically a more contemporary version of elevator music.

im not sure whats going on over there, but it seems like the quality of the station is going down. pop music, songs with curse words during the day time, the signal is spotty even in town, djs who really dont seem to know what they are doing. is there any oversight? ive listened forever, and i love wtul, but it seems like the station is rapidly declining in quality. so anyway, just thought these issues need to be addressed. thanks.

Dear Stimpee, I'm with Concerned Listener - WTUL's raison d'etre is to give exposure to those artists who don't generally get it elsewhere (there are exceptions, some bands epitomize what "progressive" music is all about, but that's a whole other conversation - regardless, Fleetwood Mac shouldn't make that cut) During the Rock on Survival Marathon, listeners can pledge to hear whatever they want, other than that...and I like Fleetwood Mac and a lot of other bands that can be heard on hundreds of other stations, but I don't (again, with some exceptions) play them on my show.
