Hey y'all! It's WTUL's 54th Annual Rock-On Survival Marathon and we'll be reminding you why WTUL Is awesome from April 1-15 (and asking for your help to keep us going). Marathon promises to be extra-special because of our return to full power and because of the amazing events our staff put together to celebrate Marathon! Here's the list:
Wednesday, April 3, 8 p.m.: 'TULbox at Tipitina's featuring Brass-A-Holics and Brass Hearts. Tickets available at tipitinas.com or at the door.
Friday, April 5, 9 p.m.: Punk Show at The Goat featuring Sesher, Bullshit Machine and Code Black.
Sunday, April 7, 4-7 p.m.: WTUL Alumni Reunion at Cooter Brown's
Monday, April 8, 6:30 p.m.: Music Trivia at Dat Dog Freret. Euclid Records Owner Lefty Parker, Journalist Alison Fensterstock and Ziggy the Wonder Dog are hosting!
Wednesday, April 10, 6 p.m.: Tulane vs. Loyola Battle of the Bands at Tulane's Pocket Park (next to the LBC)
Friday, April 12 at noon: 24-Hour DJ Weekend Begins! DJ Fallah Steen starts Friday at noon, followed by DJ Skitch at noon Saturday and Laura B heads into the final stretch Sunday at noon.
Saturday, April 13, 8-10 a.m.: WTUL Kids Show Live on the LBC Porch on Tulane's campus. Special guest Johnette Downing joins DJ LizE for live music, storytime, bubbles, crafts and snacks.
